Scholarships for people from Ukraine and other foreigners – June 2025

Every month, we publish current Polish scholarships available for people from Ukraine and other foreigners. The vast majority are available regardless of citizenship! Scholarships for people from Ukraine and other foreigners – June 2025

This month, we decided to divide the scholarships included in this article into two categories. In the first, we placed all scholarships that are aimed at people from Ukraine and other countries, or specifically name particular nationalities. The second group consists of all scholarships that do not state any nationality restrictions in their regulations – they are generally available to everyone. We focused, as traditionally, on nationwide scholarshipss.

Group 1

• 32nd edition of the Thesaurus Poloniae scholarship program For foreign researchers who focus on studies dedicated to the culture, history, and multicultural heritage of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and Central Europe. Application deadline: July 6, 2025.

• XXV edition of the Gaude Polonia scholarship program For artists and creators from Central and Eastern European countries and post-Soviet states (primarily from Belarus and Ukraine), representing the following fields: film, photography, art conservation, literature/translation, museology, music, visual arts, theater, as well as film history and criticism, music, art, theater. Application deadline: October 15, 2025.

• Banach NAWA 2025 Program This offer is addressed to citizens and potential students from the following countries: Albania, Angola, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Montenegro, Philippines, Georgia, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo, Lebanon, North Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Nigeria, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, Serbia, Tanzania, Tunisia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam. Application deadline: June 27, 2025

• Scholarships for talented Roma students Application deadline: June 30, 2025.

• NAWA – scientists in need For individuals who have a doctoral degree or higher and have received a decision from the Head of the Office for Foreigners to grant one of the forms of international protection. Application deadline: December 15, 2025.

Group 2:

• “Unstoppable” Scholarship Program (Avalon Foundation) The criteria indicate that the scholarship is aimed at people with disabilities, without specifying nationality restrictions. The application form does not require Polish citizenship, and in previous editions, diverse candidates were considered. ➡️ Foreigners may apply, provided they meet other criteria.

• Artistic Scholarship of the Warsaw School of Advertising 2025 The scholarship covers tuition fees at a specific school, and a condition for its award is participation in the recruitment process for WSR. There are no nationality restrictions – the most important thing is to undertake studies at the institution. ➡️ Foreigners may apply.

• Scholarship Fund of the Foundation for the Development of Silesia named after Johann Kroll The scholarship is aimed at pupils and students residing in the Opole Voivodeship, but there is no requirement for Polish citizenship. ➡️ Foreigners may apply, provided they reside in the region.

• KPO for Culture – scholarships for artists, scientists, educators Formal requirements include, among others, residing in Poland and working for the development of culture in the country. The program is state-funded, and citizenship requirements may apply, but the documentation does not explicitly exclude foreigners. ➡️ Potentially, they may apply, provided they meet the formal conditions and are professionally actively in Poland. Consultation with the institution is recommended.

• Liceum Artes Liberales Scholarships 2025 The program is addressed to candidates for students of Liceum AL in Warsaw. There is no indication of nationality restrictions; the school accepts students from various backgrounds. ➡️ Foreigners may apply if they plan to study at this school.

• “I Change the World” Program – SWPS Participation in the recruitment process for SWPS University and submission of a competition entry are required. There are no nationality restrictions. ➡️ Foreigners may apply if they plan to study at SWPS.

More Scholarships!

• Scholarships of the City of Warsaw for PhD students (VI edition) The regulations indicate that PhD students of Warsaw universities or scientific institutes may apply, regardless of citizenship. ➡️ Foreigners may apply, provided they are PhD students in Warsaw.

• Masterful Start – SWPS Scholarship program for candidates for studies at SWPS University. There are no nationality restrictions; participation in recruitment is important. ➡️ Foreigners may apply if they are applying to SWPS.

• “Głowa się rusza” Scholarship – SWPS Scholarship for candidates for the Graphic Design program at SWPS. There is no information about required citizenship. ➡️ Foreigners may apply if they are recruiting for this program.
