Who offers scholarships in Poland?
Who offers scholarships in Poland? Do scholarships only come from educational institutions? Or perhaps from the municipal office? If you’re wondering who can provide scholarships, this article is the answer to your doubts!
Who offers scholarships in Poland?
The first association is usually with schools and universities. This is a correct association because these educational institutions indeed grant various types of scholarships – academic, social. Besides them, who else can offer scholarships?
Firstly, individual ministries grant scholarships. For example, there are scholarships:
- Creative and scholarships for the promotion of culture awarded based on the Regulation of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage,
- For students of nursing, midwifery, and medical rescue directed by the Ministry of Health, as well as
- From the Ministry of Education and Science for outstanding young scientists.
Secondly, many scholarships are granted by local government units, i.e., municipal offices, county offices, marshal offices. Most often, this is support for residents, students, artistic activities, or sports clubs in the area of a given municipality, county, or voivodeship. Therefore, it is worth checking local and regional scholarships.
Thirdly, numerous scholarship programs are run by associations and foundations. For example, the largest such program is the Bridge Scholarships, awarded to high school graduates for the first and subsequent years of study.
Fourthly, companies and corporate foundations also run their scholarship programs, such as Google scholarships, the Azoty Puławy Group Scholarship Program, Santander Scholarships, the Accelerator Program of the Inter Cars Foundation, or the L’Oréal For Women in Science Program.
