What are the types of scholarships?

The first step to knowing how to navigate the world of scholarships is knowing the types of scholarships. So: are scholarships a reward for scientific achievements? Or is it a type of project grant? And are grade point average or financial situation the key criteria for assessing people applying for a scholarship program?

Well, first of all, the good news is that there are different types of scholarships (in Poland but that is also true for foreign countries)!

First, we can encounter research scholarships. Secondly, we have sports scholarships. And thirdly, there are social scholarships. In addition, scholarships may also be artistic. And apart from all this, many programs are hybrid, e.g. scientific and social!

In other words, you can apply for many different types of scholarships! Remember: the scholarship is not only for the academically talented or for people with the lowest income.

So now that you know that scholarships have many faces, check who can apply for them.
