Here’s a list of scholarships you can check out. Not all of them may be available at the moment you’re reading this article but it might be very heplful to remember them, as many scholarships are cyclical.

List of active polish scholarships for foreigners

• Stypendia wschodnie (Eastern Scholarships) – A total of almost 1,000 candidates from 22 countries have applied for the previous competitions, including: from Belarus, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, Mongolia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Hungary. DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS: April 10, 2024
• Program im. Stanisława Ulama dla zagranicznych badaczy (Program named after Stanisław Ulam 2024 for foreign researchers) – The Ulam NAWA program allows recognized and promising scientists to come to Poland, enable them to complete an internship, as well as establish and deepen scientific cooperation in Polish research and academic centers.  DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS: May 15, 2024
• Stypendia im. Lane’a Kirklanda 2024/25 (Scholarships named after Lane Kirkland 2024/2025) – The Leaders of Change Foundation announces the next edition of the open competition for candidates from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS: March 1, 2024
• DAINA 3 – konkurs na polsko-litewskie projekty badawcze (DAINA 3 – competition for Polish-Lithuanian research projects)  The National Science Center announces the DAINA 3 bilateral competition for Polish-Lithuanian research projects. The competition is organized by the National Science Center (NCN) and the Research Council of Lithuania (RCL).DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS: March 15, 2024
• Stypendia MSZ w College of Europe (Kolegium Europejskim) 2024 (MFA Scholarships at the College of Europe 2024) – Studies at the College of Europe are bilingual (English-French) and classes are conducted in both languages. Language requirements vary depending on the field of study. DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS: March 31, 2024
• Stypendia Rządu RP dla Młodych Naukowców z Europy Wschodniej, Azji Środkowej i Kaukazu (Scholarships of the Government of the Republic of Poland for Young Scientists from Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Caucasus)   – DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING APPLICATIONS: March 1, 2024

List of inactive (but often cyclical) polish scholarships for foreigners

Remember that many scholarships open their applications periodically. It’s worth noting down the dates of those that interest you or directly apply to you, and preparing for the next round of applications.

• Nagroda im. Iwana Wyhowskiego i staże badawcze dla obywateli Ukrainy  (Award named after Ivan Vyhovsky and research internships for Ukrainian citizens) – 12-month research and teaching stay at 6 Polish universities for a candidate in the field of humanities and AWARD INTERNSHIP – 4-month research stays at 2 Polish universities for candidates. DEADLINE DATE OF LAST EDITION – February 15th, 2024 
• Thesaurus Poloniae  – The initiative is addressed to foreign researchers of the culture and heritage of Poland and Central Europe.Researchers dealing with history, art history, sociology, ethnography, cultural anthropology and other related sciences can apply for the scholarship. The program is implemented in two categories: Senior Program for professors and academic lecturers with a PhD and Junior Program for PhD students. DEADLINE DATE OF LAST EDITION – January 30th, 2024
• Stypendia Stowarzyszenia Pomocy Polakom na Wschodzie „Kresy” (Scholarships from the Association to Aid Poles in the East) – scholarships for students of Polish origin starting their studies in Poland. DEADLINE DATE OF LAST EDITION- November 11th, 2023
• Stypendium Instytutu Współpracy Polsko-Węgierskiej im. Wacława Felczaka (Scholarship from the Institute of Polish-Hungarian Cooperation Wacław Felczak) – for achievements and initiatives undertaken for Polish-Hungarian cooperation. DEADLINE DATE OF LAST EDITION- November 11th, 2024
• Międzynarodowy Program Stypendialny Miasta Kielce  (International Scholarship Program of the City of Kielce) –The program is addressed to all high school graduates with the highest average who decided to continue their education at one of the universities in Kielce, both from Kielce and other cities – also from abroad. DEADLINE DATE OF LAST EDITION- October 20th, 2023
